Being deemed ‘beautiful’ doesn’t grant me the right to have everything I desire, though.
I often wonder why people say “you’re too beautiful to be sad”. Society determines that beauty brings happiness. The reality is it doesn’t. A person of beauty may not be guaranteed happiness, though, a happy and positive person will always be guaranteed beauty because, as the age-old saying goes, beauty does come from within.
I think confidence comes from knowing who you are and where your place is in the world. That’s all that matters and whatever anyone else has to say about it is irrelevant. (this is my opinion on the matter). Don’t think there aren’t moments where I experience self doubt though! That happens every so often.
